there's a neighborhood kid who comes by and shovels our driveway and walk when it snows. he didn't come by yesterday morning, but we didn't think there was really all that much snow - until we got caught in the snowbank at the side of the driveway. i got the shovel and dug around the affected tire. much swearing and tire-grinding later, we got out (ok, someone came by and helped. :D).

so i woke up this morning and wondered why my shoulder hurt. i guess a little manic shoveling when i'm late for work will do that.

on a totally unrelated note, i won $21 from scratch-off lotto tickets today! and then i found that my checking account was overdrawn by $6. i just can't win, can i?

dragon*con started adding guests back in october. i think i've waited long enough, and now that it's the new year, i can start whining. they have 16 guests lined up so far. how many of them are people i want to see? um, none.

by this time last year, they already had mike mignola and barry bostwick lined up! just one guest... that's all i want right now!

i'm surprised i didn't hear about this before, as it was announced in october, but syfy (oh, how i hate their new name) is going to make an americanized remake of being human. and just what was wrong with the original being human? i mean, i think it even played on syfy this summer!

so, what they're saying is, they like its originality so much, they want to remake it.

if syfy (hate that name!) loves being human so much, why don't they just air the original series? season two is coming out in a few days, and it doesn't look like bbc america is going to pick it up any time soon; why not just play that?

i mean, i'm going to watch it, of course. well, the first episode, anyway. i want to see how bad they're going to f it up, while hoping that they really don't f it up all that badly.

cool, ain't it? my coworker lisa made this for me for the secret santa at work. she's the same coworker who made my magic wand for my hogwart's student costume. :) yup, this too is all wood. and it has cute little rubber feet on the bottom.

now, why would a tardis need cute little rubber feet?

i realize i promised more stuff than i posted yesterday. well, it seems that i let the pictures pile up on the camera so much that by the time i got them all edited and uploaded, i didn't have time to post them. i'll try to get at least one thing posted here tonight, and then some stuff on craftster. and then i'll post some links to craftster stuff for those of you who aren't on there.

at least that's the plan. we all know what happens when i try to plan something. :)
